Campus recruitment process

There are many ways to hire employees, but the best way is to recruit on campus. It also saves time for the company. Otherwise, finding a good candidate is a daunting task. The campus recruitment process is the easiest and most approachable way to reach a good candidate.

But out of 200 students, how will you know which is best or best suited to our profile? Here is the role of Ability, Group Discussion, and Personal Interview.

Once the company was on campus, it came with the mission of taking on some students. It is therefore primarily the student’s responsibility to be the first to break it from their college… Believe me, the easiest way to get a job is through interviews on campus. The foreign market is very bad at finding fresher jobs.

It is the responsibility of training institutes to provide training for placement so that our students are equipped in all aspects of career development and to create a very good impact in them, which makes them feel that every minute they spend in the placement training session is worth being there and will help them place themselves in their dream business.

Campus recruitment procedure

It is important to understand the process of campus recruitment :

Pre-placement talk

A presentation of the company is made during the pre-placement conference. Basically, the presentation includes information such as the company milestones, selection procedure, Achievements of the organization, the scope of candidate improvement within the organization if selected, and salary benefits. Usually, this presentation ends with a question and answer session, in which students have the opportunity to ask questions.

Educational qualification

Companies who wish to visit the campus for the recruitment process have specific qualification criteria. Qualification criteria include grades or a range of grades, a specific program. Basically, companies choose specific professionals such as MCA, MBA to recruit these people because of their qualifications suited to their criteria.

Written exam

Qualified students will take a test. It is generally a simple aptitude test, but depending on the company and the position sought, the level of difficulty of the test may be higher. Some companies take very easy aptitude tests whereas some take high-level exams so that they can check the level of qualifications of the students.

Group discussion

The candidates then called for the GD round after clearing aptitude round. In this round, the recruiting team assesses certain personality traits such as confidence, communication with the team, participation. The ability to present their points of view in a clear and concise manner, interpersonal skills, leadership skills, etc. In the GD round, there are at least 5 and at most 10 candidates and the subject of the discussion is generally related to current affairs, hypothetical situations, etc.

 HR interview

This is the last and last step in the recruitment process where the candidate is assessed for his communication, attitude, confidence, flexibility,  etc. It is advised that the candidate be confident but not overly confident in this round of the recruitment process. The candidate should be honest and polite in answering questions and also ask questions of the company’s HR regarding basic policies, procedures, and CTC.

Your chances of selection decreases. When there are thousands of other students preparing for the same job as you. How do you stand out from the competition? Well, the answer is simple –
“Do something that others don’t do”

In other words, have something that others don’t have. If you are looking for a computer job; why not work alone on a few pet software development projects and list them on your resume? For example, could you develop one or more very simple projects – like a backup manager, an Android or iOS application, or a Perl script that does something cool

– and add it to your CV? When you go to the interview, remember to draw the interviewer’s attention to your plans. I am sure they will be more impressed that you went beyond academics and did something on your own.

If you come from a non-IT background, add something to your CV that shows you are doing something more. It could be researched on something you have studied, a robot, a practical study or research, or a drone something like that.
